Bad Moves
The other day, I was watching this Indonesian drama that I did not quite catch its name(first time I watched, how do I know?). I was certain the film was about a girl name Alyssa( is this spelled right?) in it. When it neared end, there was this guy caught much of my attention. I guessed this well-built, clean-cut, hot stuff was the lead actor in it.
Here's the deal: He was in a dilemma when his so-called girlfriend(I guessed) "threatened" him to engage with her. She will only then drop the charge against Alyssa, who was accused of stealing her clothes. (He fell in love with Alyssa) So this guy agreed reluctantly (to save her Alyssa of course). Now this was which it got me straightened up my back in my sit, squinting my very eyes, took in all his body language.
When the girl told Alyssa she wouldn't charge her, my eyes were still on the guy. At this very moment, the guy showed his body language as 'rubbing his forefinger at the side of his forehead, while faced down, eyebrows lifted'. (familiar with this?)
It struck me of an article I read in one of the decades old RD my friend lent me. I remember that body language I just described is an indication of a person telling a lie. (It was an article on how to spot a liar by looking at body language.)
So what I meant is, the guy's body language surely wasn't in tune with what was happening then.
You say "Oh, it just a movie, who care!" To a veteran flick fan, I'd say "It just make the worse movie becomes worst." That is why such film such a film does a job well done in cracking me up!
Believe me, I do watch Hollywood. If I should compare, it's the skill (body language) that makes the difference. Which, in my point of view...
