Tremor
The minute I opened the door, I saw the other girls coming out from their dorms in the hallway. Puzzled, confused faces, wondering. I, too, wondering. What on earth...
Yes, guessed we all felt the tremor, it lasted for a few minutes. 2 mins top.
Then I got a call from a friend having vacation in my hometown. Asking about earthquake, tsunami. I still hadn't make the connection with the prior tremor I experienced as I've experienced way more tremor in my hometown due to construction process around the neighborhood, and hence I paid no attention to it.
Yes, what a dumb*ss.
Only then I caught the news through FB. The whole island I was standing on, experienced the same incident. It explained the tremor I felt few minutes ago.
Then I read about the sensational breaking news through Yahoo!. Apparently, the tremor came from Sumatra, Indonesia. An approximate of 8.9 magnitude earthquake, prompted tsunami alert. Gave me goosebumps! What's funny about the news was that, it mentioned the tremor was felt all the way to Singapore, Thailand and India. They left off Malaysia. We did feel the tremor, didn't we? Though no tsunami warning had been issued. So far...
But anyway, as always, lets fingers cross together, pray for the victims. If there any...or pray for no more episodes.
Today, I'm glad that I'm still alive. I move on with my life. I went for a run, as typical as any other day. Amitabha.

The Black Shoes Runner
What a good timing. Never been this lucky and I was close. I'm home. It's raining.
Happy that I'm a good runner. I love to run. Love the greens and the chirping of the birds. I heard sound of frogs most of the time instead. The park was not what I'd expected. I missed the lap back at my hometown's temple. It was specially made for runners. Made of asphalt. It was always crowded with all walks of life: young and olds, rich and the not-so-rich and various creeds.
I thought it was funny. Most of the faces nowadays at the park in school, seems to be different than the day before, todays and yesterdays. I laughed inside, I knew it and I'd bet on it. No one would have the determination and the discipline I have and inculcated in myself. They run and give up on the same day. God knows they're really trying.
It's easy to identify those who are the serious runners. Most grown-ups and never stop running. That's my observation.
There were families as well. Trying their best to instill exercise habit in their little offsprings. But the effort seems to be short-lived as well. They just disappeared on the surface of the park the next day, and the days after.
The folks back at my hometown were the regulars, it's something that impressed me, and I was the regular as well.
And now, nothing seems to stop me being a regular runner. So that's something, ain't it?
I feel like a winner. A free runner.
Who want challenge me? Hands up!

Only Way of Life
Burning the midnight oil has become a fact of life, which never cross my mind at all. Everywhere I go I saw on people's faces have been cast on gloomy expression, with pout lips hanging and droopy shoulders.
They keep on whining they don't have the time for everything, then how do they have the time when they don't get the time? Aren't we getting the same amount of time? Which proves pointless statement. Hence the time still slips by. They are still doing nothing for the time being.
I, for one, seems like have jumped on the bandwagon going late-into-the-night, which my body keeps on rejecting the unusual sleeping schedule. A girl said I should get use to it. And she was a b*tch, like my body works in the way her body works. Remember, I listen to my body and it not thaaat "competitive".
Yes, I should stick to my principle. I'm an early bird. Early bird gets the worms.
